MEDIA RELEASE - NEW KITCHEN FOR ENDEAVOUR SEVEN HILLS THROUGH GREENWAY STRONGER COMMUNITIES GRANT - 21 SEPTEMBER 2018

21 September 2018

Workers at the Endeavour Foundation in Seven Hills are now enjoying their new kitchen installed with the help of a Greenway Stronger Communities Grant secured by Michelle Rowland MP.

The Endeavour Foundation is Australia’s largest employer of people with a disability. Through work programs, apprenticeships and traineeships, the Foundation helps to support people with a disability in our community to reach their employment and broader life goals.

Michelle has been a regular visitor and strong supporter of Endeavour over the years.

A grant of $20,000 was secured by Michelle through the Stronger Communities Program for a new kitchen at the Endeavour Foundation’s Seven Hills location, which currently employs 115 people.

One of the Endeavour Foundation’s guiding principles is supporting equal access to education and life skills learning. The new kitchen will provide a great space for local residents with disabilities to learn cooking and food preparation skills.

“The Endeavour Foundation does great work supporting people in our community who have a disability to learn life skills, join the workforce and meet their aspirations,” Michelle Rowland MP said.

“I am pleased to be able to support the great team at Endeavour in Seven Hills through the Greenway Stronger Communities Program. It was great to visit the new kitchen and see it is already being put to use,” Ms Rowland said.
