MEDIA RELEASE - STRONGER COMMUNITIES GRANTS OPEN FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - 9 AUGUST 2018

A new round of community funding grants is now open for expressions of interest through the Greenway Stronger Communities Program.

Grants from $2,500 to $20,000 are available and are required to be matched in monetary terms or in-kind by local organisations. Grants will be awarded to successful groups to fund equipment and/or infrastructure which will be of benefit to the local area.

Previous funding rounds delivered by Michelle Rowland MP in Greenway have delivered numerous local projects, including;

  • Field upgrades for Kings Langley Hockey Club at their grounds in Lalor Park;
  • Grandstand seating at Corbin Reserve in Quakers Hill;
  • Playground renewal at George Alder Park in Quakers Hill;
  • New play equipment and landscaping at Thomas Kelly Park in Lalor Park;
  • New training kitchen for the Endeavour Foundation in Seven Hills;
  • New playground equipment and softfall surfacing at Girraween Road Park in Girraween.

Local organisations are now invited to submit preliminary proposals.

Expressions of interest for this grant round can be made by emailing [email protected] or by mail to PO Box 868, Seven Hills 1730, by 24 August 2018 in order to meet the application timeframe.

Inclusion of supporting documentation, including project outline, plans, pricing lists and designs, would be appreciated and will assist the assessment process.
