MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND AGEING

MICHELLE ROWLAND MP
ATTORNEY-GENERAL
MEMBER FOR GREENWAY
The Albanese Government is delivering for North West Sydney with a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic now open in Rouse Hill Town Centre.
Located at Level 1,10-14 Market Lane, Rouse Hill, the Rouse Hill Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is open extended hours, seven days a week.
The service is fully bulk billed with no appointment necessary – so patients can walk in and access treatment free of charge with just their Medicare card.
The highly trained doctors and nurses are equipped to treat a range of conditions and injuries that need urgent attention but aren’t life threatening, including cuts, viral infections, or a sprained ankle.
The Rouse Hill Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will also ease pressure on Blacktown Hospital, where around 29 per cent of presentations in 2023-24 were for semi-urgent or non-urgent conditions.
The clinic will join the existing network of 24 Urgent Care Clinics across New South Wales with a further 11 to be established across the state.
This is part of the Albanese Government’s commitment to deliver more Medicare Urgent Care Clinics across the country, with 4 out of 5 Australians set to live within a 20-minute drive from their local clinic.
Labor’s Medicare Urgent Care Clinics have already seen more than 2.2 million presentations since the first sites opened in June 2023, including over 446,300 presentations to New South Wales Medicare Urgent Care Clinics.
Over a quarter of these were patients aged under 15 years old, more than one in four visited on weekends, and over one in five visited on weekdays after hours (at or after 5pm).
The Rouse Hill Medicare Urgent Care Clinic was commissioned by Western Sydney Primary Health Network and is operated by Rouse Hill Town Medical & Dental Centre.
